
Françoise or Fruz Tonteling is a Luxembourgish pianist, singer, and passionate piano teacher. She performs both as a soloist and chamber musician and teaches at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg. Her repertoire spans from Baroque masterpieces to contemporary works and folk-inspired music, always with the aim of bringing classical music closer to audiences of all ages.
She began her musical journey at the Conservatoire in Luxembourg, studying piano with Béatrice Rauchs, before continuing her education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Daniel Blumenthal, where she earned her Master’s degree in piano. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Writing and has pursued vocal training since 2013 under the guidance of Marie-Reine Nimax-Weirig and Belgian soprano Hélène Bernardy.
Alongside her performing career, Françoise is a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher. She has written about effective practice methods and the workings of memory, reflecting her commitment to helping students not only play but truly understand and enjoy music.
